    SUMMARY:
    The Safety & Security Director directs and coordinates the activities of uniformed Safety & Security Officers actively engaged in the execution of the CFI, Inc. Security and Safety program.
     

     

    DUTIES:
    1. Hiring and screening employees.
    2. Implementation and management of government mandated safety and security programs (such as blood borne pathogen and hazardous communications training)
    3. Organization and management of all department generated records.
    4. Establish daily procedures and responsibilities for Safety & Security personnel.
    5. Conduct routine safety and security inspections and administer an on-going safety inspection program.
    6. Direct and/or conduct internal criminal and civil investigations and act as a liaison to Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Personnel.
    7. Act as a contact person and liaison to OSHA and/or any government health/safety organization.
    8. Coordinate and/or instruct employee health, safety and security training programs in cooperation with the corporate division of risk management, and the Regional Director of Security.
    9. Manage any interdepartmental Safety & Security programs 
    10. Act on behalf of the Regional Director of Security or any other representative of the corporation as directed.

    11. Act as a task force coordinator for any event requiring esoteric or additional security services (such as dignitary protection or special events).
    12. Act as facilitator and chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee.
    13. Retains all written communications between management and the Safety Committee                14. Completes and distributes accurate minutes of committee meetings and final report of the hearings
    15. Maintains an effective driver training and licensing program for drivers of company gas and non-gas operated vehicles
    16. Implements safety inspection programs
    17. Attend and participate in meetings of: Operational, Staff, Business, Executive, Safety Committee, and Risk Management

    29. Oversee operation and maintenance of security systems, electronic lock security, and key control access systems
    30. Respond to fire/burglar alarms
    31. Responsible for the resort surveillance (vehicle/foot), including pools, restaurant and all venues,
    32. Responsible for maintaining, data collection, and reporting for Tour Guard System,
    33. Responsible for implementation of inventory controls and loss management systems,
    34. Responsible for maintaining, logging, damage and loss control of all security inventory and assets,
    35. Maintain an inventory of equipment for issue to new employees or replacement as needed.
    36. Manages the Lost & Found Department.
    37. Responsible for the departmental budget

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Directs and coordinates the activities of six or more line employees. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to a prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume and distance.

    REASONING ABILITIES:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    As an Executive Protection Specialist you will be responsible for the protective operations assigned. Additional responsibilities include, though not limited to:

    • Ensure the safety and security of designated principals, as assigned by the Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader

    • Travel in support of protective operations advances, both domestically and internationally

    • Conduct site surveys, and document those surveys for dissemination to team members

    • Participate in recurring protective operations training, to include firearms training, medical training and other related tasks.

    • Maintain communication with the principals regarding all aspects of protective operation processes

    • Collaborate with Matador Security leadership and related teams to ensure the timely exchange of information regarding schedules, threats, travel and administrative requirements

    • Maintain established Matador Security executive protection standard operating procedures

    • Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment used in support of the protective operations program (i.e., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices)

    Qualifications and Skills

    • HR218/LEOSA is required. Government, Military and/or Law Enforcement experience required.

    • Must have or be able to obtain a Washington, DC Armed Guard Card, prior to starting employment.

    • Working knowledge of physical security systems, alarm/CCTV equipment and monitoring, computerized security hardware/software, and technical security counter-measures

    • Experience and capability in first responder medicine (i.e. first aid, CPR &AED) and self-defense

    • Familiarity with threat assessment measures and protective intelligence processes
