Mr. Sanger is a native of Seattle Washington. He has 15 years of experience in security and corporate relations. He is a veteran of the United States Army where he was attached to the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade in Fort Lewis, WA. In 1996 he was deployed to a high risk security role in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Lightning in support of Operation Southern Watch. Darrin has been trained by the US Army in Counter Terrorism and Force Protection Operations. He maintained a SECRET security clearance during his deployments and provided Armed Escorts, Force Protection, and Risk Assessments for U.S. troops and government assets during operations in the Middle East. He also served on the Quick Reaction Force, providing emergency response to hostile forces on US military installations. Darrin received an Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He was honorably discharged after six years of service.
Beyond his military service, Darrin encompasses expertise in public relations and corporate communications, serving as the communications director for the largest regional insurance trade association in the Western region. He has also served as an officer and a member of numerous non-profit Boards of Directors. Darrin attended Central Texas College, majoring in communications, and has graduated from professional/trade schools including the US Army Defense Information School. Darrin is also a graduate of Executive Security International where he earned his Certified Protection Specialist credential. He graduated top of his class receiving honors for best overall achievement in Risk Assessments and best overall individual achievement in ESI’s prestigious Stalker Program. He is CPR-AED certified from the American Red Cross, a certified NRA pistol instructor and is also a student of Sayoc Kali and Panantukan (Filipino martial arts).
Mr. Sanger is a member of numerous professional associations including ASIS International and the International Association of Counter Terrorism and Security Professionals.
